Learn the ancient art of hand dye using indigo! Spend an afternoon learning how to create beautiful, stylish patterns using the ancient art of indigo dying at SF Studio Smith in San Francisco.

In this three hour workshop we will concentrate on folded, tied and clamped resists to create beautiful patterns on a variety of cotton and natural fiber surfaces. Students will leave with beautiful stylish textiles for wardrobe and home.
Class includes- *One yard of quilters cotton (perfect to use for home decor or sewing projects)
*One oversized flour sack tea towel
*All dye stuff provided
*Rubber gloves
*Light snacks and beverages.

Students are welcome to bring a t-shirt or a few small, natural fiber items from home to dye as well!
