Hello Studio Smith readers!
We have a very special newsletter for you this month.
Chances are, if you have visited or worked at SF Studio Smith you will have met our wonderful Studio Manager, Genesis Vallejo.
Not only does she make sure all your events go as smoothly as possible she is also an extremely talented photographer!
At the tender age of 7 she was given her first toy Micky Mouse camera, and encouraged by her dad to get creative with an incentive that he would develop her rolls of film if she did well in school.
It wasn't until she reached high school and given the chance to develop rolls of film herself that she began her love affair with photography.
Genesis studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco where she completed her BFA in Photography.
Whilst studying she met David Campbell, a still life shooter, he took her under his wing and exposed her to the exciting world of food photography, and she hasn't looked back since!
Whilst managing the studio Genesis works freelance as well as explores her own personal projects of people, landscapes and fine art photography.
Take a look at her website here for more examples of her work!
